Maintains mechanical equipment and structures, including environmental systems and emergency power generators. Maintains buildings and grounds. May assist plant maintenance technicians. Duties may include equipment repair, small plumbing repair or installation, minor electrical work, maintenance of generators, including oil changes and air filters on cell sites, assist with HVAC work that will involve heat pumps, ground source heat, boilers, and ice melt systems. Will be back up in custodial jobs duties when needed.
The position will be required to maintain maintenance records and be asked to prepare future reports for proposed budgetary maintenance. May be involved in delivering materials or delivering parts that need to be repaired when needed. Will be asked to contact vendors for quotes and other budget numbers.
